    Membership

    All psychotherapy societies may acquire membership. Precondition is that the members of the associations or individual members are legally entitled to practice psychotherapy in their country, or are well established psychotherapy researchers.

    To acquire individual membership, a formal application must be sent to the office of the IFP using the IFP application form. Applications should be accompanied by a curriculum vitae and, wherever possible, the name of one supporter who is a member of the IFP (which should be send by email to Questo indirizzo email è protetto dagli spambots.     To acquire membership, a formal application must be sent to the office of the IFP using the IFP application forms. Temporary membership will be confirmed by the Secretary General. Final membership will be decided on by the Council of the IFP and will then be confirmed by the President of the IFP.

    Membership benefits

    IFP membership societies enjoy the following membership benefits:

    • Membership societies receive two issues per year of the IFP Newsletter. They are also invited to use the IFP Newsletter as a platform to publish information (scientific material, conferences, etc.) that may be of interest to the IFP membership.
    • The Presidents of membership societies receive a subscription to the IFP's official scientific journal, "Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics", free of charge.
    • Membership societies (and all their individual members) are entitled to subscribe to IFP's official scientific journal, "Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics", at a special, substantially reduced rate.
    • Membership societies (and all their individual members) enjoy reduced registration rates at the IFP World Congresses, IFP-sponsored regional seminars, workshops and masterclasses, and a number of IFP-co-sponsored conferences.
    • Membership societies have the right to vote at the IFP General Assemblies which usually take place during the IFP World Congresses.

    IFP individual members enjoy the following membership benefits:

    Membership fees

    Membership fees for the IFP correspond to the size of the member organizations.

    • with less than 100 individual members: € 200.-
    • with 100 to 1000 individual members: € 2.- per member
    • with more than 1000 individual members: € 2'000.-
    • Individual members: € 35.-

    About IFP

    The International Federation for Psychotherapy (IFP) is an organization of national, regional, and school-oriented psychotherapy societies.

    Its goals are to facilitate and promote international communication among the various schools, professional groups and cultures within psychotherapy.

    The IFP organizes international congresses and conferences on psychotherapy.

    The IFP promotes the development of psychotherapy in practice, teaching and research and encourages and supports appropriate standards in the practice of psychotherapy.
